Event: People Power Canberra Tree-Planting @ Cotter, 8 July 2012

This Sunday, People Power Canberra is holding its next event, teaming up with Jindii EcoSpa who will run a tree planting, with Greening Australia, out at the Cotter. This is the launch of an ongoing fundraising initiative which will support many projects at Jindii to reduce carbon emissions.It will be a fun day for the whole family, but RSVPs are essential.

When: 1:00PM-3:00PM, Sunday, 8 July 2012
 
Where: The Cotter. Drive along Uriarra Rd to Uriarra Crossing, turn left after the Crossing and continue on Uriarra Rd for 7km. Turn left into Bullock Paddock Rd. Look out for the Greening Australia signs from Uriarra Crossing.
 
What to expect: Fresh air, “Welcome to Country”, family friendly fun, afternoon tea and seated massage (by donation)What to bring: Please bring a hat, sunscreen, long sleeves, long pants, gardening gloves, sturdy boots, mattock (if you have one), a water bottle and a mug for a cuppa!

Driving: Why not carpool with a friend or family member?

For members of the community who cannot make it to the event, you can have a tree planted on your behalf. Just make a donation to the Jindii Sustainability Fund by registering at their website.
